Jr Mentorship Program

Once again, the Garneau Tennis & Beach Volleyball Club will be offering the Junior Mentorship Program to elite tennis and volleyball players. Read on for more information!    
What is Junior Mentorship Program?

Offered to athletes 14 years of age or older, the Junior Mentorship Program is an opportunity for youths to have a quality volunteering experience and earn a free tennis or beach volleyball membership at the same time. To earn the free membership, participants must complete at least 12 hours of volunteering at the club throughout the season (May-September).

Volunteer Time Includes:
  • Court maintenance:  Learning how to water courts, dragging courts, fixing lines, spreading clay, set up volleyball courts, etc.
  • Administration:  Learning how to sell memberships, register tennis lessons, customer service, etc.
  • Tournaments:  Learning how to run tournaments at Garneau
  • Coaching/Lessons:  Learning to assist in delivery of lesson programs to membership

  • Application should include a resume, and a brief narrative explaining why this opportunity is of interest to you, your aspirations in tennis/volleyball and how it will benefit you.
  • If interested please contact us by July 1st, 2017.
How this will work:
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a post-dated cheque in the amount of $150 (cost of Garneau junior membership), and commit to 12 hours of volunteer time. 
  • Once the volunteer time is completed the post-dated cheque will be returned. 
  • If the volunteer time is not completed the cheque will be cashed.
